40 years ago I came across an old warehouse, which stored ivory off cuts from British manufacturers for over a century.
When working with ivory, they would discard about 40% of the material as imperfect or scrap. I thought of ideas how to use this valuable material, recycling in the true meaning of the word, using my own designs and techniques.
These designs incorporate restored and redeemed antique/old ivory off-cuts from various uses, such as from making piano keys, billiard balls, boxes, buttons, brushes, mirrors, just to name a few.
